My question is what did picking up after CPete at Boise really show? He was a bad OC at Texas and then throttled down Boise a bit from CPete days, although to his credit he was still racking up double digit Ws each year. Just not challenging for NY6 bowls or anything like that

Now that is the young up and coming recruiter I was thinking they would go after. Also good to see a black head coach being replaced by another black head coach. Pac 12 sits at 3-12 currently in that regard.

Nice. As always though you have to be careful with these guys because they can obviously sell themselves. Really need to dive into specifics of how they want to run the program.

I had read Harsin was making noises about getting Boise out of the MWC. I guess he decided it was easier to get Harsin out of the MWC.

Terrible hire. IMO, Auburn went to the pasture where the grass is greener one too many times.

I don’t think Malzan would be interested. Probably uses this year as a reset after leaving a pretty stressful job at auburn.

To be fair I think Hawkins had the highest win percentage in CFB when we hired him, tough to beat that.

I don’t mean to split hairs but I saw that on Twitter.

bottom line is that the cultural gap is enormous and he is less likely to be competitive with Alabama than malzan was.
