Is there a chance Mitch Rod is run game coordinator? Sorry if I missed previous discussion.

New spin on the OL hire. Kap followed him at SMU and purchased "The Rod" at CU. Was this a Kap recommendation? I'm going to pretend it is because that makes me feel better.

Thats what Ive been telling myself. Im really nervous about this hire.

Not sure he would take it and I’m sure he would be expensive but what about Rich Rod for QB coach

If Richrod was on this staff and wasn't the OC cause Chev, I would be so very very angry.

You have crazy dreams.
Yeah. Rich Rod is one of the true innovators of college offense. If you can get a guy like that, you put him in charge and turn him loose. If you can't offer him that, then the only conversation with him should be about an analyst role where you pay him a lot of money to help design the offense, mentor your coaches, and give insights on techniques/keys.

QB Coach/Offensive Analyst

Cincy just got Dan Enos as rb coach. He would have been a nice one to have on staff. Disappointing last year at Miami but still a damn good track record.

QB Coach/Offensive Analyst
I'd love it, but I think a more likely scenario would be how Tedford was an "offensive consultant" for a year at Washington before taking the Fresno State job.

I just have trouble seeing him take a demotion just to be working this year. He had 2 years left on his Ole Miss contract. Just looked it up and he's getting the last of his $6M+ from UA this May.

Stranger things have happened, but it would be a weird room to have Chev be Rich Rod's boss.

One possible upside to Mitch Rod is recruiting Louisiana, (& Mississippi, Alabama). Guy has a solid Gulf Coast resume....I guess we'll see.

Langsdorf is a pretty decent hire at first blush.

man these (all) AC sure move around a lot. I know they make decent money, but that is truly living out of suitcases.

btw - would love an "expert" on here explain what a run game or pass game coordinator does...

It could mean additional responsibilities, but is usually like when your company offers you a resume-building title that doesn't come with extra pay or any change to your actual job.

I’m good. More experienced OC than Chiv.

So this means no TC? As a buffs fan who lives in Nebraska I couldn’t possibly hate this hire any worse. Taking Nebraska’s leftovers who they couldn’t stand doesn’t instill much confidence.
