2022 Transfer Portal

I'm actually looking forward to 2022. A lot of new players and new coaches. Seeing some of the growth of the players with another year in Turley's strength program. The OL that should actually be coached up. I'm hoping to see some 3 TE formations. I really don't see 2022 being as bad as 2012. I hope I'm right and 90% of this Board being wrong. Go Buffs! Now let's get some good players out of the portal.

Dial down your posting. 39 posts in a month is overwhelming.

this is wild
I remember the good old days when seeing one of our current player's names pop up on the Recruiting Archive thread would make my heartrate rise. I'd click the button, worried--but uncertain--as to whether someone had posted bad news about that player leaving CU.

All that uncertainty is gone. Now I know every new post in the Recruiting Archive thread is bad news.

Everyone is making fun here but if there's one thing I know, it's that whenever you count a team completely out, they win more games than you expect. It just happens that way. This team will somehow, inexplicably win 5 games and we'll all be completely shocked about it.

I can see them winning 2-3 games unexpectedly, but 5? You may need a 5150 evaluation.

Is there a full list somewhere of all the transfers and their position on the 2021 depth chart?
This is just glaring to look at in one place (AND this was before D. Stanley and doesn’t include T. Lang).

From 24/7 (free):

Aside from Watts…“Running backs Jarek Broussard, Ashaad Clayton and Joe Davis, receivers Brenden Rice, La'Vontae Shenault, Chris Carpenter and Keith Miller [insert D. Stanley], tight end Alec Pell, offensive lineman Kanan Ray, defensive linemen Jayden Simon, Blayne Toll and Lloyd Murray Jr., inside linebacker Zephaniah Maea, cornerbacks Christian Gonzalez and Mekhi Blackmon, and safeties Mark Perry, Trustin Oliver and Curtis Appleton are other 2021 Colorado players that have entered the transfer portal since late September. (AND CHRIS MILLER - DB/Nickel)

Quarterback Maddox Kopp, receiver RJ Sneed and edge player Chance Main have transferred into Colorado's program.”

What’s weird to me is that none of these sites do anything other than just “report” who is coming or going and talk about the history of the players and their stats. How is THAT the story?
Yep. I wanted the same info. Sorry. I don't have their places on the depth chart.

Need to add Chris Miller

This is the hyper-optimistic magical thinking that every Temple Owl fan had from 2004 to 2006. Or every Duke Bluedevil fan from 1999 to 2002.
Or every CU fan from 2006 to present.

I respect the optimism. I really do. I had it myself, right up until December 2021.

Looks liklike many if these defections..were numerically required..

Howells schollie list listed 83...so not sure how we were going to get to 85...without mass defection..

It is looking quite a bit like the coaching staff decided that a really large number of the players we had weren't good enough and needed to be replaced with 3* freshman recruits.

If that's how our own coaches have been viewing our team since last season, they may well be some of the people posting here on AB.

I do not think if I had written a script for a poor off season, I would have written it to go this poorly. I was the most negative person on KD on this board, and was told so often, and never thought he could be this bad. You just have to laugh at this point. Are they tanking this thing intentionally for some reason? I just could not see how this level of ineptitude could happen without trying to drive it in the ground.
