2013-14 CU MBB SOS Watch (OOC & Pac-12 Opponents)

Georgia beats Texas A&M by 12. In position at 1 game back of 3rd place in the SEC.

Utah destroyed Wazzu. Utes are now 16-7 (5-6). Looking like a home host for the NIT that could have been on the right side of the bubble if they had scheduled a few less cupcakes for even some Top 200 opponents.

Utes went way overboard with the creampuff scheduling. I understand it, but Krystkowiak has to have some regrets. 346th OOC SOS. Unreal. Makes even Herb Sendek blush.

UT Martin loses again. By 6 on the road, so maybe they're starting to play better.

Okie Lite is up 1 on TTU with 11:13 to go (ESPNU).

Wyoming down 2 at UNLV at the half.

USC is up 8 on UCLA with 5 left in the 1st. Trojans want this bad (PACN).

Memphis up by 3 on the Gazs in the last minute. (ESPN). Gazs are just in front of CU in RPI.

Memphis closes the game on a 17-2 run to win 60-54. Wow. Tough loss for Gonzaga. Impressive for Memphis.

Oklahoma State goes down....Marcus Smart channels his inner Ron Artest and pushes a fan in the crowd....things unraveling in Stillwater

I have to give props to a young man I have come to know at Iowa State. Senior forward Melvin Ejim dropped 48 on TCU today to go along with 18 boards. Ejim lead the big 12 in rebounds last year, was b12 academic player of the year last year and is now leading the b12 in scoring (he was before today's game). More than Durant, more than Blake Griffin, Michael Beasley and other top picks ever scored in a game. What a game for #3.

The other game tonight in the Pac-12 was Arizona giving Oregon State a nice 22 point beatdown.

OP has been completely updated.

One of the best looking things about CU's resume is the complete absence of bad losses. 12-0 against RPI 101+.

Some of the teams that could really help the resume by moving into the Top 100:

#103 Utah
#104 Wyoming
#115 Georgia
#126 CSU

Monday, 2/10, games we care about:

Jackson State (8-14, 4-6) hosts Southern (13-10, 9-1). This would be a big one for keeping Jackson State on the right side of RPI 300.

Kansas at Kansas State. KU remains RPI #1. We need them to stay there. Our win is absolutely gorgeous.

Arkansas State (12-8, 5-4) hosting Western Kentucky (16-7, 8-2). Big game in the Sun Belt. Would be a nice win for Arkie Lite.

Arkie Lite won by 14. They had fallen to 194 RPI (real danger of slipping to 200+), so beating #100 W Kentucky is a much-needed shot in the arm.

Jackson State lost to Southern.

For the CU resume, the Arkansas State win was probably the most important result tonight.
