2025 Transfer Portal News & Updates

Interesting take on the second paragraph. We struggled with slippery and fast QBs. He wasn’t very good against those teams.

End of the day, he was taken off the field on obvious passing downs. They are trying to upgrade the speed and athleticism of the position. Not sure why that’s controversial.
Bama's problem is not athleticism. They have many athletes in the team. It's the gap discipline and slow reaction.

NHG is great at both.

I was having visions of him being a Harrison Butker type. 😂

But, but, but he sucks in space and can’t cover and and and and. The dude is a flat out BALLER and we’re going to miss the sh!t out of him.
He does suck in coverage. It was easy to see in real time and the stats and analytics back it. He is a great two down player who was told that he’s not an NFL ready LB (at least a day one or two draft pick). Good luck at Alabama.

Pointing out limitations he very clearly had is now **** talking?

Remember that last year until essentially Fall Camp, we were rolling with Woods and Bentley. Prime and Livingston will get us right at LB

He played down the road and grew up in Charlotte. Why wouldn’t UNC be a very strong contender?
well because those things don’t matter nearly as much as how you will be developed and I’ve learned this week that BB is bad at coaching. Won’t be able to get kids to come there.

You said Travis wasn’t a first round WR. You also said it’s impossible to gain more than like 7 lbs of muscle in a year. You are the last person who should be telling others what they can and can’t post
I said 10-12...and if you'd actually look up recent research, you'd know I'm right.

Y'all need to get up to date on your understanding of muscle development.

People lifting for the first time might be able the do 2 lbs a month, but no FBS football player is new to lifting, and their muscles should be adapted to the strain of weight training, which will slow down gains.

Or we are putting out high end talent into the portal because even talented guys aren’t good enough to start here.
Kind of an odd take when we have only brought in one LB from the portal and he is unproven at the P4 level. As it stands right now, NHG would have started again for us without any true competition

How ****ed up is it that the network who has a very clear bias and interest in certain teams winning, own the entire broadcasting rights for these games.
Very good question. And the same holds true for FOX and the B1G.

Now, I tend to not believe in conspiracy theories and prefer to believe in the journalistic integrity of Chris Fowler and also Herbstreit (I know, I know) but it's a problem that the top two conferences are essentially married to the biggest media stakeholders in college football (also because they're business partners with the SEC and B1G Networks) as it allows both conferences to push their narratives at will.

Trevor Woods did start for us even after we brought in NHG. DJ Lundy was a Buff until he wasn’t. There’s a long way to go and probably 40+ more players coming/going over the next 5-6 months.

I agree, I think we will get there and by Aug 30 of next year we will be happy with what we’ve got at the LB position. But for them to say that right now NHG isn’t good enough to start here is just not true.

Absolutely, LB and TE are the main spots where talent acquisition has been lagging behind the rest of the team.

Team wide, the talent upgrade has been tremendous.

By no means am I trying to disparage him. He’s a really good player who was our best LB and probably the 3rd or 4th most valuable defensive player this year, so yes, he could easily start again here and will play a decent amount at Alabama next year.

I just think Prime and Livingston have higher hopes for the LB position. They want NFL guys
