2025 Transfer Portal News & Updates

Y'all can keep laughing, but I'm right about muscle gain.

You won't find any research that's remotely recent that falls in line with what you believe to be possible. 🤷

Something like 30 lbs of lean mass gain in a 3 year period would be considered outstanding for even the most genetically gifted among us, and y'all are claiming it can be done in a year.

Stop believing claims from SC coaches that science doesn't support.

You're still not accounting for the fact these kids are 18 and can naturally add 10-15 pounds without ever setting foot in a gym. We're not talking about grown men.

Is the “research” in the room with us right now?

Will there be a spate of transfer announcements by players on the teams that just got knocked out?

ASU is going to be a problem. Their transfer class is decent, Dillybar, run the football, use a TE, and have a young QB.
They have 5 total transfer commits, and none above an 86 grade. And their prep class was mid-pack in the conference. They're not exactly killing it on the recruiting trail.

Ohio State?!?!

Just a rough check in on the incoming talent to the B12 next year. The left column is the 247 prep ranking and the right column is the transfer ranking. No one outside the top 4 or 5 teams are bringing in much impact in the portal. CU, Utah Tech and Baylor stand out.

Texas tech is reminding me of what we did in the portal last year. We are not doing bad by any means but we aren't first in transfer ranking even by average in the big 12. That' is Texas tech. If we don't see a serious uptick we might even have to do something like (gasp) rely on development of high school players from the last two years

TTU in 2024 is also way better than CU in 2022. I can see they are serious threat in Big12 next year.

The big question is who from the Big 12 will be ranked in the preseason top 25 since that is one of the most important determining factors on being in position to have at large bids.

This year, preseason top 25 had Utah, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Kansas and Kansas State.

From that group, I think KSU and maybe KU make it with ASU, ISU, BYU and maybe TTU. I highly doubt CU is included without Shedeur and Travis.

...
I'm not sure that this year's selection and pre-season rankings support that
