2025 Transfer Portal News & Updates

I think it's a straight up push. I also think the linemen didn't connect with Loadholt all that well, so we didn't ever see what could be. But what do I know?
When they secured the commitments of all the transfer OL, it was supposed to be

LT - Seaton
LG - Mayers/Tyler Johnson/Bedford
C - Hank
RG - Bedford/Tyler Johnson/Mayers
RT - Benson

Add in Houston and Brown for depth and that looks like a very solid OL on the surface.

Bedford got the bag from Oregon and Tyler Johnson couldn't follow the rules and didn't care, so neither played a down for CU. Benson then forced his way to Guard (probably for the best as he wasn't good enough to play RT) which in turn forced Tyler Brown and Phil Houston to start at RT.

These issues are all part of the problem with going into the portal for 3-4 new OL every year, but the plan at OL was mostly derailed before the season even started.

This 100%. Personally, I think Benson and his mom going to the coaches and forcing them to switch him back to guard upset the whole thing more than we realize. I think he would've been fine at RT. Brown and Houston never should have seen the field if we had stayed healthy, and maybe if Hank had learned not to lean on defenders, actually run his feet on contact and snap the ball correctly we might have had something, but here we are...

His ****ing mom came in to the situation to complain?

I'm assuming this was in Barzil originally
