Noyer starting is one thing, but neither one distinguishing himself enough to seize the job is awful news.
I was hoping we would run the **** out of the ball before HCKD announced a starting QB. Run the ball and have a stout D is typically a good combo.Run. The. Ball.
Because it likely means we have a real bad QB?Which is mostly my point. If Lytle can't clearly beat out a "4th string Safety", why are people so upset that he isn't the named starter?
Yes, which we all clearly knew. Would Lytle being named starter make you feel better?Because it likely means we have a real bad QB?
Yes, because it would meant the chances of one of the QBs being decent were better. Now we have a half win by the other guy, which is worst case scenario.Yes, which we all clearly knew. Would Lytle being named starter make you feel better?
Noyer at least as talented as Klatt. Everyone here should be happy.
For me, and maybe others, the disappointment comes from the fact that we knew coming in that CU didn't have an all-conference QB ready to takeover. We had two guys who could never really contribute at the position, and then a true freshman who we have heard good reports on. Common sense and hope told me that this staff would look toward developing the future of the position and roll with Lewis.Yes, which we all clearly knew. Would Lytle being named starter make you feel better?
Oh I agree completely. I have said from the start that Lewis should be QB1. To me, it feels like people think KD and Langsdorf are going with Noyer only because he's the older veteran guy and not because he performed better than Lytle. For me, and maybe others, the disappointment comes from the fact that we knew coming in that CU didn't have an all-conference QB ready to takeover. From reports it sounds like this staff never even seriously considered Brendan and now here we are with a dude who was moved to safety about to start the season, and a guy who couldn't beat out the aforementioned safety as his backup. When does Lewis get experience or a shot? It wash, rinse, repeat with CU and not developing QBs.
While QBR is an absolute...just...garbage stat, even I'll admit Montez had too many head scratching games/plays.
Don't confuse talent and skill. Noyer is a far better athlete than Klatt.
Last in the P12 (79th nationally) in YPA.While QBR is an absolute...just...garbage stat, even I'll admit Montez had too many head scratching games/plays.
Klatt is the best overall QB this program has had this century. Not debatable.Don't confuse talent and skill. Noyer is a far better athlete than Klatt.
Supposedly he is very well liked within the program and teamHas anyone ever heard how the other players feel about Noyer? Is he well liked and respected? ...or do we just not know anything about the guy
