Wish The PAC 12 Had Balls

Don’t care about Utah, would much rather the buffs get a shot at SC.

It’s unlikely to happen and thus Buffs need to focus on a capable Utah team. If they can force the Trojans to hold serve twice and are both sitting undefeated then so be it. I have my doubts that both teams end up at that point, and namely SC has looked pedestrian.

PAC winner will not get to CFP, and nor should they. But for CU to have a reasonable path to a NY6 bowl speaks highly of Dorrell. I think he will continue to have the Buffs competing at a high level for a while

I'd be ecstatic with an Alamo Bowl bid against (I would think) either Iowa State or Oklahoma. If we're undefeated and miss the CCG, gotta think we'd be invited to that game.

I think had they started two weeks earlier when the BIG did, there would have been a chance for an undefeated USC that played 8-9 games, but that was going to be a long shot anyways

OTOH, Ohio State could well make the playoff at 7-0.

I feel as though everyone is B_walking all over this ****. We have to take care of utah 1st and foremost
Maybe I’m misinterpreting what others want, but I believe the point is to schedule CU v USC for next weekend, and let Utah play someone else.

Depends...if the B10 breaks their rules to put OSU in the Championship game without the requisite minimum games it might give the P12 cover to make a similar move.
The situations are entirely different. The equivalent to our situation would be if Rutgers were undefeated and potentially shut out of the CCG. The B1G would not make an accommodation for Rutgers. The only reason why they’re considering an accommodation is because of the program stature of tOSU.

Let's try this for an equivalent-Say ISU and Texas had been cancelled because Texas had a COVID outbreak, which allowed Texas into the Big 12 title game over Oklahoma.

**** Jon Wilner for this take. He's nothing more than Larry Scott's Baghdad Bob.

Is Wilmer being a d*ck or is he serious? If he thinks we should leave I agree. Let’s go back to the Big 12. This league sucks. Get RG on the phone.

Dude, I think you’re taking his comments a lot more serious than intended. Wilner has been pretty vocal about this situation and how CU is likely to get screwed. He has also been very critical of the conference in general. Definitely not a Larry Scott mouthpiece

Still a dumbass thing for Wilner to write.

Wilner is suggesting CU would be better off in a conference that isn’t run by morons. He’s right about that, but the Mountain West isn’t any great shakes, either.

Then why the MWC line? I thought it was uncalled for-especially coming from him.

I think we're changing leagues again in a few years anyway. This league makes sense from a geography and culture standpoint, but that's about it.

Bob Bowlsby seems like a pretty smart guy. I'd join the league he runs tomorrow if they asked us back. I think the Big 12 is going to make a run at us, Utah, and the Arizona schools before the next round of TV deals anyway.

I know it hasn't been a bed of roses, but I still think the Pac 12 is the best match for CU. Maybe the Big Ten as an alternative, but we'd get murdered there as well. We have a geographical advantage in the Pac that we haven't been able to take advantage of. And we're at 5,300 feet. If you're soft, go to a school on the coast. If you want to **** people up, come to Boulder. That should be the message.

No thanks to the Big 12. Pac 12 will get through it's leadership/relevance issues someday. The Big 12 will still be a big ****hole conference. I like the Pac.

Unless drastic change happens in this league, we need to go. Period. Competency in the commissioner's office is a must. Moving the conference HQ out of the Bay Area is a must. Better TV deals than what we have in this league are critical.

There are cycles to these things. I think we're in the right conference.

Wilmer seems to have gotten progressively more negative about Colorado over the years.

Well yeah but think how long it’s been since you’ve been to Norman, OK or Manhattan, KS. I’ve heard Waco is lovely this time of year
How about Champaign, IL? Maybe Piscataway, NJ? You could definitely go for West Lafayette, IN, right?

Wait, how could I forget about Lincoln, NE?!?

It’ll be just fine after KD starts winning it and winning more than we lose every year. Just have to win and it’ll all seem much better.
